When you’re renovating a house, every day is a little like Christmas thanks to the stacks of boxes, packages and paper mailers that land on your doorstep. Today’s cache included fabric and wallpaper samples for the kitchen courtesy of my new bestfriends at Eades Discount Wallpaper in Olean, NY. They’re quick to respond, they ship nationwide and they stock a variety of hard-to-find favorites and trade-only exclusives like William Morris, William Yeoward, Pierre Frey and Fermoie, among many many others. And thus far, their prices can’t be beat.
If I had my druthers, I’d decorate my entire house in blue and white, so for a space where I spend an inordinate amount of time, I’m dressing it in a classic palette I know I’ll love for years to come. So today, here’s what I’m feeling for the kitchen…but who knows what’ll show up tomorrow.
- Lee Jofa Indian Zig Zag or Ralph Lauren Avignon Batik for the upholstered banquette cushion
- Phillip Jeffries Gold on Navy Manila Hemp or Thibaut Sachon Basket for the walls
- Walker Zanger Duquesa Fatima field tile in Mezzanotte for the backsplash
